With twice monthly treatments, I started having more energy and my feelings of stress and tension had melted away. With Sharon's advice I started doing foot exercises to strengthen my feet, and started walking without the orthotics for short periods each day. Sharon is more than a Reflexologist. Reflexology also known as 'reflex zone therapy' is a holistic healing method that involves pressure and massage of the reflex points found on the feet. These reflex points reflect the overall health of a person. Reflexology taps into one's vital energy that circulates between the feet and the organs of the body. The session combines massage and reflexology along with essential oils applied to specific reflexes or areas on the legs and feet that stimulate all the internal bodily systems. Light to medium pressure is used which is suitable for seniors and people with sensitive bodies. For those that prefer a deeper pressure specific wood reflexology tools will be used.

Why is Relexology good for your health?
A session is 1 hour.
I usually recommend that people have 1-2 sessions per month for health maintenance, and 1-2 per week to facilitate the body to heal itself if you are dealing with health issues.
Pressure can be adjusted to your preference. Light to medium pressure is generally suitable for most people, seniors and people with sensitive bodies however you may feel some discomfort if I find an area that is out of balance or congested. This discomfort will only last a short time as I work through the congestion. If necessary I can move on and return to rework the area later during the session. For this that like a deeper pressure wood reflexology tools will be used.
In the strictest sense, all superficial fungal infections are contagious, meaning hands-on massage & reflexology would be contraindicated. Best to schedule a session after completion of medical treatment and clearance of the infection.
Loose, casual and comfortable clothing is recommended. Other than removing socks and shoes and rolling trousers up to the knee, no need to remove clothing. I will also place a blanket over you so both warmth and modesty will be retained. Drink plenty of pure water on the day of the session. Eat lightly.
People commonly feel deeply relaxed, emotionally balanced, and/or revitalized and rejuvenated. The session is highly relaxing and I recommend that you take the rest of the day off after the session just to relax your body and slowly ease it back into the real world. Make sure to drink lots of water after your session.
Congratulations! Yes, you can have reflexology but we will need to go through a few detailed questions beforehand to ascertain your general health as well as where you are with your pregnancy and how things have been so far. There are one or two situations that may mean reflexology is not appropriate but in general ‘Mums to be’ find the treatment calming and relaxing.
